Entry-level administrative jobs are often described as office junior, office assistant , or junior clerical assistant roles. These can be part-time or full-time and are ideal as a first step into business administration and office management careers. It may be that individuals take on office junior jobs while carrying out further specialist qualifications. Office juniors typically perform a wide variety of tasks, working under the guidance of the office manager. These include distributing post, filing, data entry, booking appointments, and preparing letters, research documents and invoices. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel are often stipulations of the employer although some organisations will provide training on these tools.
This is a full time role for someone with at least 1 year of previous experience in an office environment. The position is integral to the smooth running of the Northampton Office.
You will need to be well organised, have a keen attention to detail, a flexible approach and be able to cope with a variety of demands placed upon you, sometimes at a moments notice.
