An excellent opportunity, within a leading law firm, for an experienced qualified Accountant to join a thriving partnership. You will be assisting in the management and development of the London finance team in order to create a commercially focused, value-adding department.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce the Annual Report and Financial Statements for the firm and assist with the interim and year-end SAR and LLP audits
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan.
- Reconciliation and maintenance of partner reserves within the Elite general ledger (profit, drawings, tax reserves).
- Maintenance and reconciliation of partner capital accounts.
- Assist with the administration and control of global banking facilities (money market loans, asset financing, overseas office funding requirements and the preparation of quarterly covenant information) and cash flow management.
- Assist with the review of EUR and HK bank reconciliations (approximately 60 accounts in total).
- Reconciliation of various Elite general ledger control accounts.
Skills and experience required:
o Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA) accountant with minimum 2 years PQE.
o Knowledge of UK GAAP/Reporting Standards and SAR.
o Highly PC literate, with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
o First class written and verbal communication skills.
o Excellent people management skills.
o Ability to win the confidence and respect of Partners.
o Commercial aptitude with a modern, pro-active approach.
o The energy and enthusiasm to manage new initiatives, challenge the norm and strive towards excellence and innovation.
£45-50 doe + excellent city benefits. To be considered for this role you must have the right to work in the UK and knowledge of Solicitors accounts rules and be able to prepare accounts.
