Elevation Business Support are currently recruiting for a Warehouse / Logistics Manager, to join a growing Manufacturing organisation based in Rotherham.
You will be responsible for planning and managing all activities relating to the preparation and despatch of goods from the Warehouse. This includes the physical preparation of goods ready for despatch, the ordering and scheduling of transport and the timely preparation of the required despatch paperwork.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
*Management of the Warehouse Staff (3) to ensure timely preparation and packaging of material for despatch.
*Communicate with Haulage Companies and Freight Forwarders to schedule timely collections of material.
*Negotiate with approved hauliers and freight forwarding companies to achieve competitive transport rates.
*Prepare the relevant despatch documentation in a timely and accurate manner, for example: material test certificates, packing lists, despatch notes, identification labels, shipping schedules, letters of credit, licences, declarations transport and safety documentation.
*Communicate with customers, haulage and transport companies as necessary to ensure efficient, positive relations.
*Assist the Warehouse Team if required, to ensure that material is loaded and despatched on time.
*Preparation, checking and mailing of Sales Invoices for completed Orders. Collation and filing of completed Sales Order paperwork.
*Collate and record Sales Invoice information - analyse and report on activities, trends, results relating to Sales activities.
*Use personal judgement and initiative to improve and develop Logistics / warehousing activities and procedures.
*Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate knowledge of all relevant import/export law and procedures; tariffs and duties; licences and restrictions.
*Liaise with other Staff in order to establish and maintain effective support in relation to the Companies' sales, purchasing, materials management, production and overall operating functions.
*Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.
*Personality: Self-driven, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on providing a high quality service. A natural forward planner who can work off their own initiative. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with a variety of people. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Good communicator, keen for a new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
*Specific Job Skills: Knowledge of Warehousing and Administration activities would be preferred and be advantageous. Experience of working in a manufacturing organisation would be
