TRAINEE SSAS ACCOUNT MANAGER Permanent Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, City Centre Manchester £18,000-£19,000k basic plus numerous benefits Our client is looking to recruit a Trainee SSAS Account Manager to act as the relationship manager for a given portfolio of schemes, ensuring that all client requests are dealt with promptly and professionally and that where necessary, the client is referred to other appropriate sources of advice. The key responsibilities of the role will be: · Maintain professional knowledge and provide technical guidance to clients and third parties · Attend client meetings and be able to explain HMRC legislation to Advisors, Accountants and Trustees · Ensure that the schemes are managed in accordance with HMRC regulations and that the clients are fully aware of those requirements. · Subject only to the above, to ensure client retention through proactive client management. · Processing investments. · Processing and dealing with property purchases/sales. · Processing and dealing with all aspects of loans and pension scheme borrowings. · Processing retirements, both annually and ad hoc. · Processing share purchases. · Collate and record all relevant data for Benefit Crystallisation Events. · Monitor and record all Reportable Events. · Check all returns to HMRC and ensure they are submitted within the required timescales. · Sign off all cheques / bank payment instructions. · Ensure that client requests are turned around within agreed company service standards. · Ensure the client file (both paper and computer) is kept up to date and in good order. · Where financial advice needs are identified, to make the client aware of those needs. · Issue invoices by the end of the invoicing month and follow company procedures regarding the collection of debtors. · Undertake other duties, as requested by your manager. Our client is looking for a candidate with relevant SIPP or SSAS experience, good communication skills, a team worker and somebody who is eager to develop themselves and progress towards full Account Manager.
