Based in Tamworth, close to M42, we specialise in the sale of Scientific Equipment and Advanced Materials.  Due to continued year on year growth we're recruiting for an additional member of our Sales Team. We are a friendly team who are passionate about providing an excellent standard of customer service and developing new business.  Last year we were proud to be identified by the Department of International Trade as being a high growth SME for export.

 

You do not necessarily have to have sales experience, although this would be a benefit.  We will work with you to develop your skills and train you to ensure you are confident to sell the products that you will have responsibility for. What is more important is that you have a proactive and self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn.  You will need a professional and intelligent approach to work and be someone who is happy to use their own initiative as well as being an integral part of our team. 

 

As part of the Sales Team, you will provide a professional and efficient point of contact for customers to provide technical support, generate quotations, facilitate order placement and provide customer feedback. You’ll use your excellent attention to detail as you assess sales enquiries, establish customer requirements and specify appropriate products for their application. Based primarily at our Tamworth Office you will be expected, after initial training, to spend time attending exhibitions or visiting our UK customers.  We actively support staff development and you will receive ongoing support through our Company coaching and mentoring programme.

 

Candidates must have a higher-level grade in A level Chemistry/Physics or equivalent as well as a higher-grade Maths, English and Science GCSEs.   This role may suit a recent graduate with the desire to use their knowledge within a sales environment.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet agreed sales growth and gross profit targets.
  • Manage your sales targets and pipeline
  • Generate new business sales leads and opportunities
  • Provide a quick and efficient response to customer enquiries.
  • Maintain and develop current relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
  • Provide delivery updates and after-sales support.
  • Maintain the sales CRM system.
  • Present the Company to potential clients through direct communication, face to face meetings, trade and pop-up exhibitions, telephone and emails.
  • Work closely with all members of the Sales and Marketing team to ensure a cross flow of information.
