Our client is seeking a Trainee Sales Co-ordinator to train as an efficient liaison between the Client, Area Sales Manager and the various factories from first enquiry to delivery of finished goods. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Sales Co-ordinator will provide information to customers regarding orders / deliveries etc, as well as assisting the Supply Chain Function in other areas when required.
Working between the hours of 9-5 (9-4 whilst training for 3-6 months), the successful Sales Co-ordinator will be responsible for:
Taking enquiries via the telephone/email and processing them accordingly
Processing new and established customer orders; working closely with the planning departments and also liaising with the warehouse/transport departments for efficient deliveries
Dealing with artwork from initial stages through to customer approval (where necessary) to finished product
To provide an efficient customer service with regard to prompt attention to all enquiries/complaints and being responsible for the collation of all relevant information
To deal with any customer complaints alongside the technical/quality control departments
To maintain and update customer price files
Extensive use of the PC on various software systems to input/amend orders from receipt until invoice stage
To provide stock information and proof of deliveries where necessary
To co-ordinate the cost recovery on originations, extra transport, obsolete stocks and labels Assisting with purchasing & planning functions if required
Some travel to customers & other sites may be required on occasion
The successful Sales Co-ordinator will have the ability to work as part of a busy and sometimes pressurised team, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be trustworthy and hardworking and be flexible with working hours when required as extra hours in busy periods may be needed.
