Job description:
A position has become available in this company's Accounts department for a Trainee Accountant. The role entails the preparation of limited company, sole trader and partnership financial statements and tax returns for a portfolio of clients. Tax return preparation to include Corporation Tax returns, VAT returns, Income Tax returns for individuals and Partnership tax returns. Iris Accountancy Suite is used throughout the practice. Other ad-hoc office duties will need to also be undertaken as and when required such as dealing with emails and client queries in an efficient manner.

Suitability:
The position is most suited to AAT students or those who have commenced their training within an accountancy practice but seek a better opportunity. Graduates with accounting degrees are also welcome. You should have a good working knowledge of Excel and Word. A good working knowledge of Iris and Sage is preferred but not essential. You should also be able to work on an individual basis and as part of a team and manage your task lists and workloads in an efficient manner. They will train the candidate in areas they have not encountered before.

Terms:
Initial three month trial period the successful completion of which will lead to a full time permanent contract and then subsequently a training contract, as appropriate. Total of 37.5 working hours per week.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and regular reviews to reward performance.

Training: Full training support towards the ACCA qualification is offered as part of the role which includes the payment of study fees, revision materials, exam fees and paid study leave.

Car Parking is not available at the office but nearby roads are available.
