Technical Applications Architect- London- £60,000

My client is looking for a talented Technical Applications Architect to manage the infrastructure of integrations and ETL systems and processes, which deliver technical capabilities that support business processes and to enhance and maintain the capability and the delivery of their integration and services and systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Configuration management and systems administration - Performs configuration changes within business systems to enhance functionality or to resolve service issues and controls and manages all aspects of system administration
• Systems Life Cycle Management - Delivers life cycle plans to cover maintenance, upgrades, patching, major shifts in technologies and aligns global standards including data security, legal and legislation changes in the business they operate, working directly with their vendors
• Data Governance - Supports the management of the availability, usability, integrity, quality and security of the data hosted and managed via business systems applications. Works within their data governance program and polices, following best practices in collaboration with their business and data owners

• Infrastructure Architecture - Designs, implements and manages long-term, business systems applications, to ensure they adequately support the business and related processes.
• Business Process Improvement - Follows strategic planning methodology to identify the business processes or applications that could be improved. Encourages smoother procedures, more efficient, controllable, manageable, and overall more robust processes to support their business

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies and Background:

• Applicants should have significant Oracle SOA Suite experience, ideally with integration to/from Oracle Applications
• Knowledge and experience of Cloud Integration strategies and implementations, ODI essential
• Knowledge and experience of Oracle's SaaS Applications
• Able to perform complex problem solving and should be comfortable working according to company policies and processes
• Good business analysis and strong technical technology skills
• Experience in working as part of an external/internal virtual team or alone as required by priorities
• Experience in leading offshore development teams
• The ability to work in a collaborative and energetic environment with other technology and business disciplines
• Coding design experience taking into consideration things such as: application performance and performance planning, performance tuning, transaction management, capacity and capacity planning, non-functional requirements
• ideally have proven delivery experience in several of the following technology areas, in order of importance:
• OA Suite 11g/12c
• OSB 11g/12c
• WebLogic Server 11g/12c
• WebServices/XML
• Unix
• Java

Understanding and exposure to the following, in no particular order:

• ADF
• OAF
• BI / XML Publisher
• OBIEE
• AIA
• ODI
• WebCenter
• Data Warehouse
• Identity Management
