Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking an experienced Sub-Contract & Purchase Ledger Clerk for a construction business in Sheffield. They have continued to grow from strength to strength in recent years with the plan to continue growing the business and team over the next few years; hence the reason for this new role.

You must have a minimum of two years experience in the field and possess great interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal with both internal and external customers representing the company.

You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines ensuring suppliers/contractors are paid on time and invoices received in the month are processed prior to month end cut-off dates.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sub-contract Ledger:

* Follow the company's sub-contract payment procedure
* Check CIS/Insurance details are up to date prior to payment
* Process certificates for payment via matrix and non-matrix orders
* Make payments via BACS/cheque
* Liaising with sub-contractors re payments
* Any other duties as may be appropriate

Purchase Ledger:

* Maintain purchase ledger database
* Matching orders, delivery tickets and invoices
* Process all invoices for payment including utilities
* Make payments via BACS/cheque
* Liaising with suppliers re payments, queries etc
* Responsibility to undertake payments
* Any other duties as may be appropriate


To be successful you MUST have the following skills and attributes:

- Approximately 2 years+ relevant experience
- Good IT/Excel skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Self motivated
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong 'team' player
- 'Can Do' attitude
