Stores/Stock Administrator- Events Industry
up to £24,000 depending on knowledge and experience
We are a dynamic and progressive events management company with over 20 years’ experience in event décor and production and are currently seeking a like-minded individual to join our innovative and creative team. We are looking to recruit a full-time Stores/Stock Administrator who will play a key role in managing the logistics for all kit and equipment needed for our event design jobs, with involvement from the point of order through to delivery and installation. You will be given the opportunity to develop within the role and to manage the Stores and the Stores Operative. We will encourage you to visit the venues and to play an integral part in rigging the event on site and to see the final product.
The successful person will be responsible for ensuring all kit and supplies required are made available to the project installation teams on time. They will have the opportunity to work closely with the Project Manager to schedule jobs and review designs and project plans to ensure the right kit and equipment is picked and packed and delivered to site on time.
Some of the tasks:
+ Store management and maintenance of all kit coming in and out of the warehouse, ensuring any consumable stock levels are sustained
+ Picking, packing and delivering our kit and equipment to site
+ Supplier management, including ordering and arranging delivery/collection of externally sourced kit, and planning and organising any external resource required (e.g. agency or freelance staff etc)
+ Reviewing quotes and project plans to identify what kit will be needed
+ Manage and further develop our Cloud Rental Management system (data entry and inventory management, developing full functionality, train all staff to use it effectively)
+ Undertake quality checks at every stage of each job – client satisfaction is critical
+ At least one year's relevant experience (preferably in events or hire equipment)
+ Extensive and practical knowledge of kit and equipment so you know exactly what will be needed for every event set up to succeed
+ Strong attention to detail; be fastidious!
+ Willing to turn your hand to anything
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues, suppliers and clients (fluent spoken and written English and excellent telephone manner)
+ Ability to build strong supplier relationships
+ Be computer literate; be willing and able to become our CRM system guru. Previous experience with “Current” or other stock control systems would be advantageous
+ Strong reading, writing and numerical skills for stock checking, carrying out measurements etc.
+ A team player with a flexible and proactive approach
+ Self-motivated, proactive, self-disciplined and energetic, able to work unsupervised and thrive under pressure
+ Able to undertake some manual handling involving lifting and carrying
+ Understanding of and commitment to adhere to Health & Safety procedures
