Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking a knowledgeable and driven Senior Sales Ledger to join a well-established and growing team based in their Sheffield Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a friendly team of 3 Sales Ledger Clerks to help coordinate their daily workload, implement new processes, take full responsibility of cash allocation, handle complex invoice/payment queries and liaise with the wider finance team & business daily.

My client are looking for an ambitious individual who welcomes a challenge and thrives from working within a team where they are able to make a difference and develop themselves and others.

Duties & responsibilities include:

-Organising and coordinating the daily workload for the Sales Ledger Clerks
-Running morning reports, downloading bank statements and preparing bank sheets ready for allocations
-Recording incoming receipts
-Posting and allocating payments received onto the customer's account
-Reconciling payments posted against funds banked
-Controlling and distributing incoming emails in the group inbox
-Monitoring cash on account and liaising with Credit Control to ensure un-allocated payments are kept at a low level
-Resolving allocation queries for Credit Control
-Helping clerks with any allocation queries they may have and help to develop their skills
-Reviewing processes and looking to add improvements where needed
-Ensuring all month end procedures are followed and the ledgers are closed within a set time limit
-Coordinating samples for the auditors
-General administration and housekeeping
-Any other duties as set out by the Sales Ledger Manager


The ideal candidate will have:

-Experience of working within a fast paced, challenging Accounts Receivable role
-Strong IT skills (including Excel)
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work well within a team environment
