This position has primary responsibility in Operations Controllership and Operations Finance for the SO&G EMEA businesses. The position reports into the SO&G EMEA Controller and will partner closely with the Operations and Finance leaders for these International businesses and have primary responsibility for manufacturing accounting and finance as it relates to the monthly close, forecasts, and budgets.

The successful candidate is expected to be a hands-on, value added team member who helps to achieve financial commitments by providing transparency to results and actions and plans for execution. The role also encompasses the accounting and reporting for inventory and fixed assets as well as the controls for these areas, including the development, maintenance and annual update of accurate standard costs for inventory and equipment refurbishment.

Responsibilities
- Support business performance by providing operations financial analysis and thorough reporting of plant metrics and KPI's. Provide Operations Management with weekly, monthly and quarterly financial metrics (KPIs) to assist in driving business results
- Key player in the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, interpreting and explaining month to date, quarter to date and year to date income statement results versus prior year, budget and forecast
- Ensure 100% reconciliation of the balance sheet with ownership of account reconciliations pertaining to inventory, inventory reserves, deferred refurbishment costs and fixed assets
- Monitor, evaluate, and coordinate the disposal of obsolete and excess inventories
- Analyse equipment rental fleet portfolio and develop and report on key metrics including asset utilisation and payback to assist business in making strategic decisions around optimising the rental fleet
- Responsible for coordinating fixed asset inventories and physical inventories, including bi-annual rental fleet counts
- Responsible for accurate accounting for fixed assets including tracking of Construction In Process, physical tagging of assets once in service and regular reviews for idle assets
- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, direct department flexible budgets, forecasts and monthly oversight of actual results
- Support SO&G EMEA business initiatives to achieve full burden absorption
- Support EMEA Controller in executing all aspects of financial management, internal controls, SOX and company requirements

Qualifications
- 5-7 years financial analysis experience
- Strong SAP experience desired
- Strong cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail. Able to translate functional or business needs into financial goals
- Demonstrated project coordination and problem solving skills
