We do two things at Nielsen. We measure performance for our clients and we use analytics to help our clients grow their business. Both measurement and analytics are important in their own right but it's the connection of the two that delivers the insights & recommendations that are critical to our clients' success.

You will MAKE A DIFFERENCE by partnering with our clients and using data to explain what is happening with their brands and what they should do to improve business performance. Simply put, you are the Story tellers of Nielsen. Working with your Nielsen colleagues and spending time with clients, you will build partnerships that allow you to better understand your clients' business priorities and information needs. You'll use this knowledge to develop in-depth analytics and create compelling stories that deliver the insight to drive business growth.

Our Analytics team combines data and expertise to help our clients become more competitive and efficient through stronger, faster analytics.


  • To build a strong partnership with your clients and seek to delight by creating & delivering pertinent analytical insights & presentations and on-site service
  • Foster a strong understanding of your clients' business needs
  • Respond to client briefs through rigorous analysis, grounded implications and actionable recommendations
  • Develop and leverage Nielsen thought leadership to provide sound context for your insights & recommendations
  • Partner with other Nielsen experts to address business issues where relevant
  • You will identify revenue opportunities to help the team exceed OP targets and engage with practise areas to explore these opportunities further
  • Train and upskill new team members & clients- facilitate the sharing of internal best practices across the UK business and wider Unilever networks
  • Manages own workload independently and effectively prioritises client commitments alongside internal commitments

After 3 months of induction, you will spend 2 days on the client-side in Leatherhead, at least once a week you will be asked to be in the office in Oxford and 2 days you can work from home.


  • Strong analytical and numerical confidence and ability to translate numbers into clear insights and recommendations
  • An aptitude & desire to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An engaging presenter and storyteller
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of the FMCG industry and trends
