Job Title: Internal Sales Administrator - Construction Industry

Location: Durham

Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies UK Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Sales Administrator on a permanent basis for our Durham office. .

MSRS UK Ltd supplies steel reinforcement & accessories to the building & civil engineering industry. We operate from 3 sites nationally with locations worldwide and are a family owned and operated company. As a family orientated company we rightly acknowledge that our employees and staff are the strongest assets of the company. In recognition of this we endeavour to provide positive working environments and at all-times seek to encourage and mentor our staff.

The role of Sales Administrator offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy sales and technical team and gain exposure across various areas of the business.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role. Equally important will be your high work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail. A keen eye for detail and flexibility in approach to work is essential.

The successful applicant will have previous Sales Administrator experience including but not limited to:

  • Answering telephone calls from both Suppliers and Customers

  • Input of sales orders into Armaor management system

  • General admin & day to day sales activities

  • Daily updating of various excel spreadsheets

  • Experience on Glenigan research or similar system would be advantageous

SKILLS

  • Must be confident, self-motivated and flexible

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent numeracy skills with an eye for attention to detail

  • Good I.T. skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook are essential to this role

  • Pleasant telephone manner

  • Able to adapt to change

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive, negotiable salary depending on experience

  • Salary progression available based on performance

HOURS OF WORK AND TYPE OF CONTRACT

  • Permanent contract

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
