WORKING HOURS: Full time 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

THE COMPANY: Our client is the leading professional support service organisation in the country and they are now recruiting a Revenues Team Leader to lead a team of Revenues Officers and a Benefits Team Leader to lead a team of Benefits Assessors in their busy office based at Public Service Plaza, located in Havant, Hampshire.

THE ROLES : As a Revenues and Benefits Team Leader you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks in addition to motivating and leading either the Revenue or Benefits team, other duties will include,

Key Responsibilities for the Revenues and Benefits Team Leaders positions-

Managing a team of 10-12 officers, developing staff, carrying out performance management and all duties associated with leading a team of either revenues processors or benefits assessors

Ensuring the team achieves key performance indicators

Providing specialist advice for either benefits or revenues cases (depending on the role as appropriate)

Communicating with customers regarding their accounts or claims (as appropriate) in a management capacity

Being part of the leadership team to optimise the use of resources across all teams 

Liaising with stakeholders at all levels

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidates for the Revenues and Benefits Team Leaders roles will be highly focussed and capable of working independently and to tight deadlines. It is essential you have previous experience working in a similar local authority setting, ideally working in a Revenue or Benefits related department and candidates will need to have ability to lead and motivate a team of staff. In addition to living within commutable distance to Havant, Hampshire, other key attributes required include:

Excellent oral and written skills
Staff supervisory qualities
Good legislative knowledge of either Benefits or Council Tax
Flexible confident and highly organised
Commitment to a high quality service
Experience of the Academy Software package an advantage
