JOB TITLE: Receptionist / Telephonist
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary negotiable dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full time – 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
THE COMPANY: Our client is a highly regarded Solicitor's company in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire providing reliable legal services for nearly 200 years. Due to continued growth they are now seeking to employ an experienced and organised Receptionist / Telephonist to join their friendly and professional team. Our client has an impeccable reputation, and prides itself on the excellence of the legal services it provides. Situated in the idyllic market town of Melton Mowbray, coupled with a progressive, expanding company, this presents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to work in a well established and friendly office environment.
THE ROLE: As a Receptionist / Telephonist you will be confident and friendly and ensure that clients and visitors are provided with a warm welcome. You will also answer all incoming calls to the office in a professional and timely manner as well as answering or signposting emails to the correct departments. The post is for 35 hours per week and salary is by negotiation.
THE CANDIDATE: As a Receptionist / Telephonist, the ideal candidate will be a confident and friendly person who has excellent communication skills and a polite and clear telephone manner. You must have previous experience within a busy office environment in a Secretarial, PA, Receptionist or Administrative or role requiring you to handle high levels of calls. You must have excellent organisational skills and have experience using Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc). Although not essential, applicants with previous digital dictation or audio typing skills would be highly beneficial. Applicants need to be extremely accurate and reliable, possess great attention to detail and can work with people on all levels and must live within commutable distance to Melton Mowbray.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Receptionist / Telephonists role:-
- Must have previous experience working in a busy office environment handling a high level of calls
- Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills and a clear telephone manner
- Must be an organised person who can multi-task
- Must be accurate and have excellent attention to detail
- Good keyboard skills are required and although not essential experience in audio or digital dictation typing would be highly desirable
- Must live in or be able to easily commute to Melton Mowbray
