Our client is a global £billion group specialising in the design and production of metal products for the automotive and aerospace industry. We are currently seeking an experienced production manager for a new role at the Oldbury plant. In this high profile role you will take full responsibility for purchasing and supply chain management as well as having additional logistics responsibilities. You will be managing a £10 million annual spend, negotiating agreements with new and existing suppliers with a brief to: Improve both costs and service delivery. Achieve cost down targets Drive internal compliance. In order to succeed in the role you will need to demonstrate a record of success in purchasing/supply chain management in an automotive aerospace parts or materials background. You should have a clear understanding of the impact sourcing decisions have across the business and an understanding of various quality measurement and audit methodologies. Ideally you should also be educated to degree level possibly with a supply chain or IPM qualification.
