Elevation are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Team Leader for a business based in Bradford who have continued to grow from strength to strength in recent years and who are looking to expand their team.

This is a newly created position due to growth within the department and the ideal candidate will be personable, vibrant, hard-working and be experienced across all areas of Purchase Ledger including knowledge of managing a team.

Managing a team; you will be instrumental in providing effective support, training and development to the finance department and will be involved in the Purchase Ledger process from start to finish.

The Team Leader will be an effective communicator to both internal and external stakeholders, and will work to build relationships with key personnel within other Group functions. They will create a team ethos within their group of direct reports, facilitating the coaching and development of junior staff and working to create a positive environment within department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

*Manage workload of the team, allocating a balanced portfolio of accounts to each clerk
*Manage a team of purchase ledger clerks and inputters
*Re-enforcing and overseeing query resolution process
*Managing invoice query list and ensuring resolution within appropriate timeframes
*Managing key accounts
*Assisting with problem accounts
*First point of contact with Accounts and Procurement for that division
*Identifying weaknesses in processes and recommending appropriate solutions
*Ensure supplier statement recs are completed accurately and on a timely basis
*Assist in preparation and review of after-date invoice list
*Provide cover for Head of Accounts Payable

Skills & Attributes required:

- SAP experience (essential)
- AAT qualification (desirable)
- Strong IT and computer skills (especially excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
