Our client is an established, privately owned family business renowned for the quality of its superior kitchens. Since its establishment in 1987, with roots dating back to the mid 1940’s, they have grown a solid reputation as a provider to the specific needs of the contract kitchen market, supplying specialist ranges for the public housing sector, private developer market and trade merchants.

They now have an opportunity available for a Purchase Ledger / Administration Clerk to join them to assist with the smooth running of the Purchase Ledger in a department which processes on average 4000 invoices per quarter.

Processing incoming invoices and credits via post and email, you will log/register invoices and check delivery notes received from Goods Inward; matching and inputting invoices for POP accounts both UK & Foreign and handling telephone and email queries from suppliers.  Liaising with buyers with regards to price queries, you must formulate and send credit requests and put invoices on hold as well as prepare month end GRNI & POP invoice accruals and Supplier Statement Reconciliations.

The Accounts Office also serves as a small reception area, as a result the team are required to share the responsibility of general duties such as; recording visitors and handling queries, ingoing and outgoing post and assisting with meeting preparation.

Candidates for this role should have strong inputting skills, demonstrating accuracy and the ability to process large volumes of data, and a good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.  Experience with Sage 500 would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.  Our client does ask that candidates have good communication skills to enable them to converse with people at all levels of the organisation and that they are committed team players.

Knowledge of purchase ledger would be an advantage; however, training will be provided in this area. 

Ideally this is a full-time role, however, they are open to considering applicants who are looking for shorter hours during the working day.  Hours could therefore range from 27½ - 38 per week over five days a week (Mon – Fri)
