About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated results and data driven Product Manager who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment and lives to delight the customer. You will be responsible for delivering product excellence and innovation for our web related products.
The commercial side of the business comprises sales, servicing, technology, and marketing. We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap, take a pivotal role in defining the product roadmap, and help deliver against our vision and long-term goals. (not sure this fits but I always like to explain a little of the challenge.)
Ø Have 5+ years experience as a product owner or senior product owner of an online platform in a retail business
Ø Working knowledge of Agile approach to delivery
Ø Have a proven track record of delivering successful, user-oriented products
Ø Be able to define and communicate product vision or strategy to others
Ø Be commercially aware, able to think strategically to identify business opportunities as well as deliver against them
Ø Thought leader or at least excellent knowledge of online technology and multi-channel trends. Ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
Ø Be highly analytical and methodical with a data driven approach to problem solving
Ø Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with the business at all levels
Ø Understand what an exceptional user experience entails and how to deliver it whilst balancing against other competing priorities
Ø Have experience of driving product development through all phases of the product lifecycle
Ø Have a bias toward action with the ability to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at speed whilst maintaining quality.
Ø Experience in working in a continuous delivery environment would be advantageous
Our Product Manager will be responsible for:
Ø Owning the Digital Customer Journey using data to make decisions and demonstrating value to the customer and the business.
Ø Launching products and features on a regular basis
Ø Following trends both within and out-with the industry; competitor analysis; customer engagement and feedback .
Ø Engaging closely with the development and operations team to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule.
Ø Developing a Roadmap which is congruent with Business Strategy
Ø Building key relationships with: Marketing, IT and all customer facing teams (e.g. Contact Centres, Sales, Service)
Ø Acting as Product Owner during project delivery (e.g. Agile Coach/Scrum activities)
Ø Conducting quarterly product reviews with the business and key stakeholders up to Board level
Ø Delivering effective communication of product changes (recent and roadmap) and the value delivered
