This group have been in business for over 30 years and during that time have gained a reputation as a specialist within the I.T. industry, whilst working with Hewlett-Packard (HP) since the very beginning. In the early days, they specialised in print (printers) - and were proud to be one of HP's first UK print partners. These days, they've expanded and developed their technical offering to include client devices, such as business desktops PCs, laptops, and mobile devices (tablets), and enterprise infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking and cloud-based services.

Role Overview:
They are looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join their busy procurement team, providing administrative and product support to the team by performing a wide range of activities, including creating purchase orders, receipting-in of stock, monitoring & updating of back-order reports, and creating & distributing pre-delivery reports. The role will initially involve dealing with a cross section of I.T product ranges, with a view to eventually focusing on a specific product area, as the candidate's knowledge product knowledge grows further. HP product training and learning will form a part of the role development.

Key Tasks:
- Ensuring all previous day's purchase orders (PO) are received by their suppliers and shipped
- Receipting-in of stock against POs shipped by their suppliers
- Creating new POs and submitting them to suppliers
- Obtaining supplier stock availability levels & lead times, and distributing to the sales teams
- Ensure the department queues are monitored & maintained throughout the day
- Be responsible for the updating and communication of back-order information into their sales teams
- Creation of new product part codes on the ordering system
- Process of 'cost-of-sale' exceptions
- Dealing with supplier invoice queries from the finance team
- Pricing and sourcing stock availability for customer quotations
- Updating and distribution of pre-delivery reports
- Daily updating of the warehouse supplier delivery report

Desired Skills & Abilities:
- Previous procurement experience
- Experience in MS Office tools, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and manage several issues and requests in a structured manner and work under pressure
- Some knowledge of I.T. products desired, but not essential as training is provided
- Ability to work within multiple collaborative teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Take ownership of tasks and follow actions through to their conclusion
- Display attention to detail

Relationships:
- Reports to: Procurement Manager
- Internal Relationships with: Support Services, Sales (all teams), Warehouse, Services Desk and Service Delivery, Configuration, Logistics
- External Relationships: Suppliers, Vendors, Customers
