My client is looking for a Procurement Advisor, on a 1 year contract, which may go permanent, based in Paddington. Job Role: Analyse supplier spend Effectively lead, design and run procurements to gain maximum value. Develop and execute supplier strategies within corporate and procurement strategies. Manage suppliers through the duration of the contract, ensuring service levels and driving out cost. Develop knowledge of the supplier marketplace Deliver best value in terms of purchase price, avoided costs, whole life costs, working capital improvement and minimisation of contractual risk. Interfaces: Procurement UK Group HR Director and HR and Recruitment teams Franchise Bid teams Customer Service Directors and Marketing teams Suppliers Key Categories: Uniform Training Timetable print Recruitment Company Cars Marketing Print Creative agencies Media buying agencies Tickets and associated items The ideal candidate will have/be: Extensive experience of strategic procurement & supplier management within complex spend categories Record of delivering value through effective procurements, negotiations and on-going supplier relationship development. Stakeholder engagement skills. Experience of reverse auctions and e-rfx projects Able to articulate supplier selection recommendations and develop business case where necessary. Deliver change management Able to manage procurements spanning different operating companies, stakeholders and decision makers. Degree qualified Ideally MCIPS qualified Achievements in strategic supplier management and procurement Strong communication skills Confident, poised, ability to relate to senior executives Leadership Collaborate and negotiate both internally and externally and demonstrate maturity in relationship management skills. Passionate and positive about the opportunity to enhance existing experience and grow into new areas within procurement & supplier management. Record of delivering immediate results, as well as developing longer term strategic solutions. Strong lateral management and persuasive skills.
