Our client is seeking a Procurement Assistant to join them from 18 December for a minimum of 6 months, to assist with a period of maternity cover.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, the successful Procurement Assistant will assist with the purchase of building materials and the hire and purchase of machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Weekly plant checks
Arranging servicing of equipment
Handling the drawing register - drawings/ site plans for projects
Printing, hanging and updating the register
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Good telephone manner
Able to communicate well at all levels.
Computer skills (knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Adequate Maths and English skills
Although purchasing/procurement experience within the plant/construction sector would be advantageous, an organised and methodical approach is more important.
