Our Plans Team:

Based within the Real Estate department, the plans team provide support to our specialist property lawyers. Who have worked on some of the most significant real estate transactions in the North and handle the property requirements of business and organisations right across the UK, including a number of national retail chains and major players in the property sector, including many of the country’s leading house builders.

Role Overview:

As a Planning Administrator in the Plans Team; this unique role provides you an opportunity to learn on the job and develop your skills, whilst completing a CAD city and guilds level 2 course. The ideal candidate for the position will have a keen interest in technical drawing as the majority of their time will be spent creating and amending graphical images on a computer, initially using paint shop and then, with experience, using CAD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Fee Earners to support Ward Hadaway's ability to provide a comprehensive plans production service to our clients

  • Produce quality maps and plans using Autodesk (CAD) and Adobe software

  • Use paint shop, photo shop, digital camera, large scale printers & scanners

  • Using the Firm's planning system

Required Skills

No previous experience is required however you will be expected to have;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A good work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Ability to demonstrate being a strong team player

  • Ability to take instructions and be supervised

  • Ability to manage own workload, which can be under timed deadlines

  • GCSE Maths and English to enable access onto the CAD course

     

    Please note, the CAD City and Guilds course is over 16 weeks at Sunderland College, City Centre Campus, Park Lane, Sunderland SR1 3NX on a Tuesday evening between 6-9pm (the weeks that you are studying you will be given back time during the week).
