The Role

Are you a Payroll Manager, looking for a unique and progressive opportunity?
Our client a leading independent chartered accountants based in the Midlands is seeking a Payroll Manager to be based in their Northampton Town Centre office.

Role Responsibilities

This role will require you to run a payroll at all levels and deal with Auto Enrolment requirements.
Manage the junior members of the payroll team.
Provide advice and guidance to clients in all aspects of payroll application.
Process end to end payrolls for clients' variable payment periods.

Key Skills

Minimum of 3 years' experience within payroll preferably with a client based service provider
Experience of managing junior member of staff
In depth knowledge of 'good practice' payroll processing and procedures
Up to date with current PAYE legislation and have an understanding of Auto Enrolment pensions and salary sacrifice schemes coupled with the ability to efficiently use payroll software
Good numeration and communication skills
Proficient in the use of Sage 50 payroll, MS Excel and Word. Knowledge of Xero software would be an advantage
Flexible in your approach to your work
