Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on and down to earth Payroll Assistant to work for a growing healthcare business in the Barnsley area.

In this newly created role, you will be working as part of a small, supportive team to enhance the smooth running of the payroll service on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

●Take full responsibility for the processing of Timesheet and other related returns from workers.
●Generate required and agreed staff payroll information for all employees and accurately input into Sage 50 Payroll using appropriate and agreed systems.
●Reconcile all payments made to employees for each payroll, following agreed reporting and authorisation processes.
●Generate, collate and record appropriately all pay elements for the payroll period, reporting all values using agreed systems.
●Input New starter staff details, SSP & SMP notes as required.
●Administrate leavers and P45 in a timely manner as required, including all Annual leave payments.
●Administrate attachment or earnings (AOE's) and all other statutory deductions in a timely manner as required.
●Administrate all agreed Company and Employee pension obligations in line with legal and organisational timeframes.
●Payment of employee benefits, including health schemes, pension contributions etc. Ensuring accurate administration within Sage accordingly.
●Finalise payroll in SAGE 50 and submit e-banking export to Group Payroll Supervisor for payment.
●Investigate and conclude all payroll queries in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate notes and details recorded.

Skills and attributes required:

●Must have experience processing end to end payroll.
●Must have experience with SAGE Payroll.
●Must be strong user of excel.
●Excellent attention to detail.
●Customer focused with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
