An experienced Payroll Assistant is needed for an established public sector organisation based in the centre of Manchester. This is a temporary role that will last for a minimum of six months, the role will become permanent for the right candidate.
As the Payroll Assistant you will be responsible for processing a payroll of over 3000+ amongst a team. You will process a monthly and weekly payroll, input hours into the system, process holiday requests, process starters and leavers, allocation of tax codes, issue p45s and answer pay related queries to other members of staff.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum of two years payroll experience. You will be computer literate and have good Microsoft Excel skills. You will work well within a team and be an effective communicator.
In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £22000 for 35 hours work per week. You will be given thorough training and work for a well-known organisation that offer long term progression and development opportunities. There is also the opportunity for a permanent position.
