Our Didcot based client have an opportunity for a part time Stores Assistant to join their organisation on a part time basis for 25 hours per week for approximately 6 months. The post holder will have responsibility for the storage of electronics parts in the store, the maintenance of the stock database and then the kitting of parts for individual PCB assemblies (either in-house or by an external subcontractor). Depending on experience, the post may also involve the procurement of parts and ensuring that controlled parts (e.g. ITAR from the US) are handled appropriately and that paperwork is correct and up to date. Role Responsibilities: * Stock Maintenance: Stock control, inc. retaining certain levels of particular products. Ensuring the company database is well maintained and accurate. Maintain correct handling and storage of products. Carry out annual stock audits. * Good-In / Out: Dealing with all aspects of receiving and shipping of stock. From receiving the goods to chasing up discrepancies, to packaging of goods for shipment and completing all relevant paperwork. * Kitting: Assembling kits of components for PCB assembly. * Procurement: Obtain quotes from suppliers and placing orders. Maintenance of controlled parts, including associated paperwork. * Equipment Management: Booking test equipment in and out of stores to Engineers. * Ensure the stores area is organised, clean and tidy. Skills & Experience: Essential: Good PC literacy skills, Outlook, Word & Excel (Essential), Access (desired). Desirable: Previous experience in a stores environment. Experience dealing with external suppliers and customers. Knowledge of Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical Components.
