Office Manager - Northampton

An Office Manager is required for an established Funeral Directors based in Northampton. This is a Part- time role initially 9.30 - 3pm; Monday to Friday.

You will be supporting the Partners by managing emails, calls and diaries, overseeing the office and staff with their workloads.

You should have the highest level of administrative support and professional customer service experience.

  • Deal with day-to-day funeral quotes over the phone.
  • Managing the Partners emails and diaries
  • Ensure that any staff issues are managed including sickness and holidays
  • Manage car tax, maintenance, insurance, MOT for the fleet of cars
  • Proof read and double check that all paperwork including service sheets and requirements are correct and to specifications
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and external staff
  • Housekeeping of the office, reception and meeting rooms
  • Liaise with Customers with any queries or concerns
  • This is a role which will evolve and develop over time so a hands on and proactive approach is a prerequisite
  • Experience of the Funeral industry is not essential but a thoughtful and professional outlook is.
  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills is required.
  • A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate the highest standards in their personal presentation, motivation and attention to detail.
  • Must have a positive attitude, with plenty of initiative to learn the procedures and quickly become a valuable member of a busy working team.
