Marketing and Operations Assistant (12 months Maternity Cover) – Luxury Travel Company

We are looking for a marketing and operations assistant as maternity cover from March 2018- April 2019. If the successful applicant performs well in the role then it is likely that the role will extend beyond that date.

The role

The work will consist of:-

  • Writing website content, facebook/twitter/blog posts

  • Learning about online marketing and helping to create online advertising campaigns

  • Generating PR ideas and helping to execute and distribute

  • Helping to create and run traditional marketing campaigns

  • Assisting with operational matters and office administration

  • Support the Marketing Director with daily activities.

With a continuous growth with over 25% each year we are now looking for a Marketing and Operations Assistant to join our team.

Skills required

The successful candidate must have these attributes:-

  • A very strong work ethic and a desire to go "above and beyond"

  • Good eye for detail

  • Excellent administration and time management skills.

  • An interest in marketing

  • Good numeracy, computer and literacy skills

  • Flexibility and an appetite to get involved in a wide variety of roles

  • Have a creative mind that would enjoy creating marketing ideas and learning about online marketing

It would also be useful for the candidate to have any of the following further skills:-

  • Creativity and design skills

  • The ability to use design packages such as photoshop

Training will be provided but existing experience is welcomed.

Job specification

  • Title:- Marketing and Operations Assistant

  • Salary:- £17,000 per annum

  • Location: Central Birmingham (St Paul’s Square) – B3 1RD postcode

  • Hours:- 9am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday

  • Holiday - 20 days increasing by 1 day a year for each year's service
