Salary: up to £23k

Job Type: Full or Part Time Hours available

The Role:

My client is looking for an ambitious, highly experienced Personal Injury Legal Secretary who is able to work within a fast paced demanding and changeable environment.

Working for a Partner in the firm, they will consider both part time and full time applications for this role and have an excellent salary on offer to the right candidate.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage correspondence, legal documents and reports and court papers
  • Audio typing skills essential
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries
  • Taking accurate and detailed telephone messages
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences and travel arrangements
  • Take, type and distribute minutes of meetings
  • Implement and maintain office systems
  • Organise diaries and make appointments
  • Handle incoming mail and other material as directed
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Collate information
  • Maintain databases
  • Communicate verbally and in writing responding to enquiries
  • Using office equipment such as faxes, photocopiers, binders etc

Education & Experience:

  • Experience working as a legal secretary within the Personal Injury field
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications (ideally Proclaim) spreadsheets, word processing and database management
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
  • Proven experience of producing legal and non-legal documents and correspondence
  • Proven experience in information and communication management

Health and Safety:

Ensure work area is tidy and report and incidents and potential risks

Information Security:

Awareness of regulations in relation to the handling of all data, personal or business related, in compliance with legislation and guidelines set out, but not limited to GDPR, FCA, SRA and ISO 27001

  • You must act with integrity
  • You must act with due care, skill and diligence
  • You must be open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators
  • You must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly
  • You must observe proper standards of market conduct.
