About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Leasehold Officer, responsible for the development and management of the Leasehold Management service and with day to day operational responsibility for the provision of a responsive, customer focused service.
As a first point of contact and advisory service for current, new and prospective leaseholders you will deal with general correspondence on leasehold issues, produce reports, court papers and other relevant documentation.
Maintaining current knowledge of leasehold management issues and advising front line teams on the provision of a responsive repair service, you will be responsible for the provision of annual service charge estimates and statements and be the lead officer for raising invoices for major works and improvements.
What we’re looking for…
We are looking for someone with extensive experience of leasehold management including consultation and service charging.
Able to take ownership and agree the resolution of enquiries and complaints and with excellent organisation skills, you will have knowledge of the legal framework underpinning leasehold management and service charges.
In addition, you will have chartered Institute of Housing Level 5 or above, a degree OR equivalent level of knowledge gained through relevant work experience.

The role is based in central Barnsley, with excellent transport links from the M1 and Barnsley train station.
