Lead Administrator

Job Responsibilities

As the Lead Administrator at the Home Office’s Manchester office, you will lead and run the administration for the Governance, Risk and Assurance (GRA) function of the Home Office, providing both secretarial, administrative support and leading a team, across the full range of GRA activities.

You will own, maintain and develop the administrative services and processes on behalf of the Head of Governance, Risk and Assurance, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the GRA function.

You will be working directly under the Head of GRA, acting as the liaison between GRA Administration and senior staff from other business areas across the Home Office.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels
  • Excellent Organisational skills, able to work flexibly, switching and prioritising tasks at short notice
  • Stakeholder management and liaison in a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a leading role within either business management or business administration
  • Experience of maintaining central knowledge and information repositories, including configuration management and version control
  • Experience of proving secretariat support at management-level board meetings, including minute taking
  • Experience of providing project/programme support
  • Desirably you will have experience of leading/managing an administration team and knowledge within Information Technology, Cyber Security or Information Assurance
