The Company

We are recruiting for a two Junior Editors (a perm & 12 month FTC) for our client in Northampton. Covering and supporting a busy team. This is for a well-established, creative and friendly company.

The Job

  • Editorially develop and co-ordinate a range of products
  • Research, write, copy-edit, proofread and sign-off
  • Make sure all files meet standards for editorial accuracy and quality during all stages
  • Make sure all products are produced to house style and fulfil the in-house brief
  • Project-manage the products in tandem with clients, making sure key milestones are kept and final files are supplied on time
  • Manage, brief and coordinate 3rd party suppliers
  • Problem solve and, if required, escalate problems in the correct manner and in good time to allow schedules to be hit

The Ideal Candidate

  • A good understanding of the editorial process
  • Experience in copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and support others
  • Excellent communicator
  • A dynamic, proactive team player

The Package

  • 9am - 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch
  • 28 days + bank holidays
  • Pension - 4% employee contribution and 4% employer
  • Free parking available
