Forbes Solicitors, one of the largest Law Firms in the North of England, has a vacancy for a firm-wide Applications Trainer, based in Blackburn, with travel across the Forbes offices.  The successful candidate, will work as part of the HR & Training team, supporting the Trainers in delivering training to our “internal customers” ie new and existing members of staff.  No previous experience required as full training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

The role – Following in-depth ongoing training the post holder will deliver a range of training across the firm including:

  • In-depth training on the firm’s case management system to new starters, across a range of departments
  • Updating Training Manuals as systems develop
  • Delivering Touch typing classes
  • Assessing of the firm’s Apprenticeship Business Administration Programme
  • Other training as required, ie Digital Dictation, IT Applications ie Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc
  • Updating and maintaining the training part of the HR and Training Database
  • Minute taking of quarterly HR & Training meetings
  • Compiling monthly reports
  • Conduct internal ISO Quality Audits
  • Ensure all delivery of training and interactions with our internal customers are conducted in a professional, fair and consistent manner in line with the firm’s vision and values.
     

The successful candidate will be required to deliver a training service to our internal customers which is respected for its professionalism and helps the Department to consistently deliver an effective and efficient service, to support the development of firm’s workforce.

 

The person - will:

  • Be educated to GCSE level, including Math’s and English grades A-C, or equivalent;
  • Have excellent IT skills and have a working knowledge of, Microsoft Office, including, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ideally be a touch typist, or have a willingness to learn
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and be accurate in the presentation of their work
  • Be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to manage their time effectively and efficiently, can work as part of a team and requires minimal supervision
  • Have a desire to help and support others
  • Be extremely friendly, approachable and eager to learn
  • An appreciation and understanding of employee confidentiality at all times is required.
     
    A full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle will be required due to the firm being multi-sited.
