Investment Sales Support Administrator - 2/3 month contract - Central London
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications
Our client’s business is involved with dealing with the high net worth (HNW) market independent wealth management.
From tailored investments to insurance solutions, mortgage services to estate planning, asset management to tax advice, their highly qualified private client teams assist their client’s in achieving their fundamental financial objectives.
Their adviser teams help a broad range of individual and corporate clients to understand and achieve their most important financial, pension and insurance planning needs and investment objectives. Some teams specialise in working with business owners, others with senior corporate executives and professionals in sectors such as investment banking, consultancy, partners in the big four accountancy firms or major law firms, barristers etc. Several work with more complex wealthy families, including an increasing number who are non UK resident and domiciled.
This is a 2 : 3 month contract and the client requires a candidate for immediate start.
The successful Investment Sales Support Administrator will assist the Investment Managers and your team in an efficient, enthusiastic and proactive forward thinking manner by employing organisational skills and prioritising work. You should be able to work well under pressure using your own initiative, on your own as well as part of a team. A high degree of organisation, precision and eye for detail is what this role requires to ensure the smooth running of this important part of the organisation.
The successful Investment Operations Administrator will assist the Investment Managers in ensuring that both the Quadrant discretionary investment management service and the Quadrant advisory service operate as efficiently and as effectively as possible.
You will ensure that all trades placed in conjunction with the Quadrant discretionary investment management service are done so in a timely and correct manner. This will include the rebalancing of Quadrant Portfolios and ensuring that these portfolios are kept updated and correct in terms of funds, allocation and share classes at all times being responsible for processing new business from initial account set-up through to investment and subsequent reporting. This will involve the tracking of transfers, paperwork, monies and fees.
You will be responsible for the on-going maintenance of accounts, including updating portfolio information, dealing with corporate actions, ensuring that sufficient funds are available for income payments and making sure that the correct fees are being taken.
You will ensure that all correspondence and communications issued to clients are done so in a timely manner. This will include performance reporting and generally keeping clients updated as to what is happening with their investment portfolios and accounts.
You will provide a high level of support to Registered Individuals and clients in response to queries and to assist with processing and Liaising with third party providers, including custodians, product providers and investment houses to assist with operational functionality and processing.
You will be aware of external developments in terms of regulation, taxation, pricing, systems, functionality and competition.
The Investment Operations Administrator will have a good standard of education required. Degree not essential but progress, or desire to progress towards the CII Diploma in Financial Planning would be preferential. As would having the CII J10 Discretionary Investment Management qualification.
You will have a few years of relevant experience of working in investment operations, regardless of whether it was obtained at a wealth management firm, asset management company, investment house, custodian or wrap provider.
Experience of dealing functions associated with purchase of unit trusts / OEICs would be advantageous.
Some knowledge or experience of working for or alongside a wealth management firm would also be useful, including a basic understanding of ISA’s, SIPP’s and General Investment accounts.
Experience of working with the Pershing Nexus Complete system would be an advantage though not essential as training will be provided.
Computer literacy is a pre-requisite skill within this role as information technology and electronic communications are an important element of this role.
As well as having high standards of communication, the ability to build a strong proactive working relationship with your fellow team members, especially the Investment Managers, is essential. A high degree of organisational skill is essential.
A basic salary will depend on training and experience along with 25 days holiday per annum and a range of generous benefits.
