Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting a key client with the recruitment of an Inventory Planner. We can consider graduate level through to experienced candidates for this role.
You will be responsible for the management of stock intake and overall stock value through effective purchase order book management and delivery liaison. You will also liaise directly with Suppliers to ensure inventory levels are maintained and that delivery requirements are met.
*Manage the daily purchase order process, using reporting identifies articles that require replenishment purchase orders or exceptional purchase orders. *Analyse stock levels and make decisions about purchase quantities and delivery frequency in line with the stock policies set by the Regional Inventory Manager *Liaise with Warehouse staff to ensure effective load management, considering daily intake capacity and warehouse capacity for specific articles *Establish effective practices to deliver both service and inventory financial targets to support ongoing sales and margin delivery *Ensuring that stock purchasing complies with inventory strategy, and is purchased from the best commercial source, as specified by the Category team
Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required;
*Experience in inventory management, purchase order management and supplier interaction *Experience gained within a supply chain, distribution/logistics or retail function *Good analytical experience and excel skills *Strong commercial skills supported by a pragmatic approach *Good problem-solving skills and an attitude of continual improvement *Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills *Demonstrable planning and organisation skills *Build and maintain relationships at all levels within the business
