Internal Account Manager – £21,000 p/a – Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire

The Role

We are looking for a capable and experienced Internal Account Manager to provide a high quality, professional service to our clients and drivers, ensuring a smooth customer journey where the customer is informed and guided through the journey. You will maintain a strong relationship that means you are aware of their needs and able to offer the best possible resolution. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge in a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

The key responsibilities of an Internal Account Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Being responsible for guiding the driver through the order to delivery process, showing a genuine care for the service our customers receive
  • Responding efficiently and professionally to incoming calls, emails and administration tasks to provide a one stop resolution for drivers, key contacts and colleagues wherever possible
  • Taking ownership and working within guidelines to resolve customer’s and other departments queries, recording all queries and action points on the system
  • Working towards monthly order and delivery targets with a desire to achieve and surpass them, whilst looking out for opportunities for additional revenue
  • Organising work to make sure drivers are not impacted on timeframes for requests
  • Maintaining procedures for each of the clients when notified of changes
  • Reporting where necessary on the client’s fleet, such as P11d and P46
  • Building effective working relationships with all key client contacts, suppliers and colleagues

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Internal Account Manager:

  • Previous experience within administration essential; combined with a minimum 2 years’ customer service experience, preferably within the automotive or fleet management industry
  • Effective telephone, communication and negotiation skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Self-motivated, inspired by targets and a hunger to achieve; able to work within a pressurised environment whilst maintaining focus on personal, departmental and company objectives
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, able to prioritise and organise your workload to ensure all deadlines are met and clients are keep informed
  • Able and willing to work as part of a team and work towards the same objectives, taking ownership of problems with the confidence to approach relevant teams for answers
  • A keen eye for accuracy; attention to detail; and towards innovation of processes, willing to seek better ways of processing
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft packages essential
