HR MANAGER – FMCG

£35,000 (NEG DOE) + PENSION + 20 DAYS HOLS + BHs

My client is an ambitious, fledgling FMCG company specialising in healthy biscuits and snacks. The company are all about the modern world in terms of healthy wellbeing, no refined sugars or preservatives, all-natural products, coconut sugars, high in fibre, high in vitamin C. Their packaging is all plastic free also. The role we are recruiting for is an HR Manager who’s remit will be to take control of the HR Department and Office Management as a whole and to play an integral part to the aggressive growth plans in place.

The Role

  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
  • Negotiating with staff on issues relating to pay and conditions
  • Administering payroll and maintaining employee records
  • To have an understanding of employment law
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  • Developing HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements
  • Planning and sometimes delivering training, including new staff inductions
  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
  • Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
  • Leading any recruitment process

The Candidate

  • Strong administration skills
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office
  • A high level of confidentiality / discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The flexibility and willingness to learn
  • To enjoy working with people
  • Tact and diplomacy
  • Good administrative skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
  • ‘Out of the box thinking’
  • You will live within London or the South East of England
