About the role
We are not like your normal HR team, in fact we like to call ourselves People and Culture.
The People and Culture team are responsible for both our employee relations and payroll functions and in doing so, work closely together to ensure that our staff are looked after from both perspectives.
We drive the culture in the Company, we all work together to ensure our staff feel cared for and, in doing so, we create a warm, fun, friendly and family-like feel within our department, which is reflected in every bit of contact we have with our workforce.
We are currently a team of nine and due to the significant growth of our business, we are looking to add a strong generalist HR and Payroll Administrator to our quirky and hard working department.
Your role will support both HR functions and Payroll department
  • Providing a general support function within the HR Department
  • Administration relating to Company procedures, Company benefits and employee relations matters
  • Processing benefits (e.g. staff loans, salary sacrifice schemes, canteen payments, sharesave schemes, pensions)
  • Processing regulatory compliance (e.g. tax code changes, CMS deductions, attachments of earnings)
  • Running and processing reports relating to e.g. overtime, performance pay, unpaid absence etc.
  • Starters and leavers processes
  • Assisting with annual projects including salary review, Christmas Bonus and the end of the holiday year, as well as ad-hoc projects

About you
We are looking for someone with at least a year of HR and payroll administration experience. Our successful candidate will be part CIPD qualified or working towards an HR qualification, or have equivalent workplace experience.
You will ideally have experience of using the ADP payroll system, although we are happy to consider applicants who have experience of using other payroll systems.

Excellent organisational and analytical skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment are essential, as is the ability to establish credible and personable relationships across the business. Added to this, a warm, approachable, discrete and friendly manner, together with a passion for your job, will enable you to fit in with our departmental and Company culture.
