Health & Safety Assistant

Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health & Safety Assistant will assist with the administration within the Health and Safety department, working with and supporting the health and safety team on a range of projects and initiatives to help drive improvements and continual improvement

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure all relevant health, safety records (e.g. risk assessments, Audit reports etc.) are kept, maintained, and updated as and when necessary
• Day to day administration of the lone working device project, updating the systems portal assigning devices and providing support to the Group
• Diarising and providing minutes for the corporate H&S meetings
• Arrange and attend all H&S meetings providing minutes where required
• Administration of the Health Surveillance programme escalating any issues to appropriate managers, HR or H&S Team members
• Ensure invoices and purchase orders are appropriately raised on the purchasing system
• Format and proofread relevant H&S reports
• Assist in the effective monitoring and reporting of Health and Safety incidents – escalating to the appropriate Team member
• Administer the H&S inbox, escalating actions to the appropriate H&S team member
• Administer and escalate DSE assessment outcomes – ensure any equipment required is provided
• Administer the H&S Shared drive ensuring all information stored is relevant and up to date

About You:

You will be qualified to minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and qualified up to intermediate level in Excel.

You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have the ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure, maintaining good attention to detail.
