This fast growing 10 year old organisation is searching for a Finance manager to head of their accounting operations and steer the company to meet its financial goals.

The business is an expanding eCommerce retailer in the lighting and electrical market importing worldwide from its supplier network. Based in the heart of Manchester, in brand new offices, it's due to strong growth that the business is now searching for the best talent in the industry to join as Head of Finance.

Created by an energetic entrepreneur in 2011 with a vision the founder was driven by a desire to digitalise the lighting industry with his eCommerce experience selling exciting feature lighting components and services. Supplying blue chip companies, the business is going from strength to strength.

Reporting directly into the Managing Director, whose relaxed approach and passion to grow, create an amazing successful and happy working environment. the Head of Finance will take the lead on everything financially. This is a hands-on role which will support the team at top level but also get stuck into the day to day operations of what will be a growing finance team.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial department and grow, nurture and develop the team along with the business needs
- Ownership and regular review of balance sheets ensuring financial compliance and controls are met
- Financial Planning and analysis to deliver efficient annual business plans and quarterly re-forecasts
- Production of monthly management accounting, financial reports and annual statutory accounting
- Managing all financial systems and processes within the business, constantly finding better, more efficient and effective ways to do things
- Responsibility of all financial reporting including monthly management accounts, financial KPIs, balance sheet, cashflow & working capital
- Management of all payroll, VAT, PAYE, corporation and other tax requirements globally including ownership of relationships with local auditors
- Build a strong team for expansion
- Use skills, knowledge and experience to add value throughout the whole business, by suggesting improvements to processes and procedures, and where appropriate implementing those suggestions
- Supporting senior management in the business to manage their divisions and budgets through insightful and timely reporting of KPIs
- Support with financial planning and offer advice in making strategic decisions

Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record of of industry financial management.
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and applying a commercial mindset
- Confident, assertive and proactive
- Strong team player
- Minimum 5 years experience in industry at senior level.
