Graduate Researcher - Genealogy
Salary: Starting at £18,000 - Negotiable on experience
Location: Bristol (Central)
Full-time (37.5 hours)

Experience:

Essential:

• A degree level qualification in a research driven subject such as History or Law
• Demonstrable potential to develop superior technical knowledge
• Experience in working at pace whilst maintaining accurate and high quality output
• Experience in managing multiple tasks of varying complexity to associated deadlines

Desirable:

• Experience in genealogy, ideally obtained in a professional environment
• Between 12-18 months of experience within a research based role in a similar environment

Key Responsibilities
Conducting searches:

• Online : for entries of birth, marriage and death
• Make applications online for relevant certificates
• Answer and process incoming beneficiary calls, updating relevant systems with information received
• Return calls to beneficiaries who have requested call-backs.

Case Work:

• Manage a caseload of missing beneficiary cases
• Undertake research tasks as delegated by the AGR Team Leader, ensuring that detailed and accurate records are made in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Undertake own research work on own case load
• Update clients on own cases in accordance with company standards
• Produce reports as appropriate for each case
• Managing the budget on each case.

General:

• Undertaking additional enquiry, administrative and case support work, as required
• Follow all Company procedures and update relevant databases and other records as set out by the Company (for example CRM, Moose)
• Work closely with our technical services team and operational teams ensuring they are progressing matters in line with customers service standards and individual business partner needs
• Initial calls to business partners to establish a communication plan
• Make suggestions for improvements to customer service delivery and take ownership/responsibility for effective implementation. Assist with company and department projects
• Provide guidance and support to our business partners
• Assist sales with the on-boarding process and ensure suitable business partner training is delivered in order to manage expectations. Assist with improving the transition from sale to service delivery
• Attend client meetings and assist with delivery of webinars if required
• Manage relationships across service delivery and the wider business to ensure effective transition between departments working through the transfer of responsibilities and aligning the operational processes
