Become the School’s first Deputy Bursar following the retirement of the Finance Manager.
We are seeking an experienced, qualified professional to lead the Finance Team whilst contributing and supporting across the breadth of Bursarial functions, including deputising for the Bursar on operational matters. This will offer an opportunity to gather experience that would support a future transition into a Bursar role.
Initiative and pro-activity will be key attributes of the successful candidate. Initiative is required to
ensure the impact of issues arising are analysed and advice passed onto the Senior Team for
appropriate action to be taken as necessary. Pro-activity is required to ensure processes are
continually under review to deliver accurate, timely and useful information to aid whole school
- Budget Management
- Management Accounts
- Fees Invoicing
- Financial systems, processes and controls
- Financial regulation
- Remuneration / payroll
- Line manage the Accounts Assistant and Finance Assistant
What do you need?
- Experience of preparing year end accounts and working with auditors
- Accountancy technician qualification (AAT or equivalent)
- Educated to A-level or equivalent
- Excellent numerical and literacy skills
Experience working as a Finance Manager is desirable, however someone with extensive Finance experience will be considered.
