This university is a place where people are at the heart of all that they do, where enriching the lives of their students, staff and the communities they serve means they make a difference that really matters.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining them because they are delivering a new strategic plan focused on making the most of their three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for their region, nationally and internationally.

The Vice Chancellor's Office is a dynamic and busy team, responsible for supporting the Vice Chancellor's Executive team. They now have a vacancy for a new full time Executive Assistant.

Your main duties will include supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Finance & Resources/Deputy Chief Operating Officer with administration and organisational support including diary management, research and the preparation of documents, reports and presentations. You will also be asked to work with colleagues and contribute to events and projects across the year.

They are looking for a proactive and self-motivated professional, able to work on their own initiative, and as part of a team. In a fast paced, demanding business environment, you will be resilient, calm under pressure, highly organised and able to prioritise effectively. An ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and strict attention to detail is essential. You will also have experience of handling confidential material and using tact and discretion.

Using your working knowledge of digital products such as SharePoint and other Microsoft Office applications, you will assist in ensuring that technology is effectively applied.

Previous experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant is essential, and a familiarity with, and an understanding of, financial information would be an advantage.
