Engineering Instructor/ Assessor – Fabrication/ Welding

Salary – up to £32,000 + Pension + Holidays

Prodigium are currently looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable Engineering Instructor/ Assessor to join a well-established main contract holder. As an Engineering Instructor you will have the occupational competency to deliver up to level 3 in Fabrication and Welding as part of the full apprenticeship framework. You will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £32,000 with, pension and 25 holidays + stats.

Key Duties of the Apprenticeship Tutor:

To deliver training and assessment to students supporting them through their training programme including the delivery of functional skills to level 3. You will manage a caseload of learners, delivering on the job training and working independently to prepare and assess learners on a regular basis.

  • Plan and deliver engineering/fabrication skills sessions up to Level 3 as part of the full apprenticeship framework onsite.
  • To prepare and review session plans, schemes of work and teaching and learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to understand the learners individual needs
  • To improve learners experience through development of teaching methods and strategies
  • Embed Equality and Diversity in the curriculum
  • Continually monitor and review learners’ progress and support through tutorials and 121’s
  • Assist in the writing, design and development of curriculum through planning time and standardisation meetings
  • To consistently deliver a 'good’ or 'outstanding’ standard of teaching and learning
  • Progress candidates onto the next level

Essential Requirements:

  • Vocationally competent
  • Experience of delivering functional skills embedded within apprenticeship frameworks
  • D32/D33, A1 or TAQA Assessors Award/ or equivalent
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
  • An exemplary track record of progression and achievement
  • You must be able to drive with access to your own vehicle and happy to travel
