Job Description

PepsiCo represents the world's largest portfolio of food and beverage brands, including 22 different product lines that each generate $1B+ in annual retail sales. Our main businesses – Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, and Pepsi Cola – make hundreds of other foods and beverages that are household names throughout the globe.

PepsiCo Europe covers more than 40 countries, employing 50,000 professionals. Our business spans the Beverages, Snacks, Dairy & Nutrition categories across mature markets like the UK where our $1Bn Walkers brand is the snacks leader, and rapidly growing Eastern Europe markets, including Russia where we are the #1 CPG manufacturer.

Advanced Analytics has been identified as a strategic imperative for PepsiCo Europe and is critical to how we understand our consumers, engage with our retail partners and win at the shelf with our shoppers. In short we believe it will be fundamental to our future success.

We are therefore looking for outstanding data scientists to join a brand new team that will build and deliver Advanced Analytics with a huge remit: you will be working across our entire commercial agenda – from brand building, through innovation and content development, through to go-to-market optimisation and revenue management.

This is a unique opportunity for someone intellectually curious, to work on a variety of use cases and data sets to engage, test your skills and explore. Project work will span all parts of our business, across all our categories and across diverse markets in both East and West Europe. Though this role, you role will have a broad and far reaching impact on the way we operate.

We are looking for candidates that have not only cutting edge data science, advanced analytics and AI/ML techniques, but also have the commercial nous to identify business implications, support the design on implementation plans and embed analytics within our business processes.

This team is sponsored by our most senior commercial executives and will be the focus of significant investment over the next few years. For candidates, this represents a unique opportunity to build and shape the way that PepsiCo leverages data science from the outset, then grow in responsibility as we scale its application across our business.

Successful candidates can be based in any of our major European hubs (Reading, London, Barcelona, Istanbul or Moscow) to enable close contact with business teams and help engender a broad, data first culture in our decision making.

If this sounds like the kind of challenge that interests you, and you believe you have a combination of outstanding data science and commercial skills then PepsiCo would love to hear from you.
