Customer Service Manager required for a family run logistics and courier company, based in Cannock.

 

Package:   Salary of circa £20k - £25k basic dependent on experience + bonus + pension + range of benefits.

About the role:

If you’re the Customer Service Manager we’re looking for, you will join a local, family run courier and logistics company at their Cannock office, working closely with the Commercial Operations Manager. Together, we will improve, adapt and maintain a team of 11 and we will work with other local companies; by being an extension of their customer service and improving the overall customer experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Department performance
  • Managing a team of 11
  • Customer escalations and complaints handling
  • Department related reports
  • Visiting existing customers
  • Department holiday and absence planning
  • Quality performance management
  • Department training
  • Necessary Human Resource functions
  • Customer education and consistent communication
  • Communicating with the Senior Management Team
  • Regular customer care calls
  • Marketing videos
  • Social media management

About you:

You will have previous experience in the role of Customer Service Manager, managing a dynamic team of people.

  • Are you personable, charismatic and understand what makes people tick?
  • Are you a competent communicator? With the ability to lead a team?
  • Are you people-oriented? Do you love to communicate with people?  Do you understand how to communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities?
  • Do you understand the needs of the customer? Are you a good listener?
  • Are you highly organised, goal-oriented and willing to challenge to get things done?
  • Can you think outside the box, are proactive and solutions-focused and are willing to go the extra mile?
  • Do you have an eye for detail?
  • Are you determined and self-reliant, with an energetic and persistent nature and the ability to influence and persuade?
  • Do you have a genuine passion for customer service?
  • Are you committed to your own development both in your area of expertise and in general?
  • Previous experience in the logistics sector, Parcels and Pallets, is desirable but not essential.
