Welcome to this world class interlocking company based on the Kingsbury Road in London. This company is part of a wider group of international interlocking companies with its parent being a top 50 FTSE PLC.

In order to continue providing excellent service to their customers, they are looking to expand their Technical Support Team and are looking for an experienced customer focussed Technical Support Engineer.

Please note this is NOT an IT Support role.

As a Customer Support Engineer you will work as part of the sales team alongside all industry sector business development managers and customer service assistants to deliver first class service to their customer base and will be responsible for three key areas within the internal sales function:

First Line Technical Support
- Supporting and quoting their products and services through understanding the customer's application and safety needs to such a level that you can propose appropriate solutions.

Closing Opportunities
- Ownership and management of your sales pipeline (chasing and closing down open opportunities/quotes raised).

Following-up outbound customer programme activities
- Supporting pro-active outbound and reactive marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Candidates must demonstrate
- Strong technical background, Switchgear or Electrical distribution desirable (equivalent to minimum Level 3 in Engineering Qualification)
- Ability to understand and follow network diagrams and/or circuit diagrams an advantage
- Understanding of industrial safety desirable
- IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office
- Experience of customer service environment
- Secondary language skills (French/German desirable)
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated

Salary is from 25k to 27k. Company pension scheme, health insurance reimbursement, free London parking, 25 days + 8 bank holidays, employee share option awards.
