A Customer Care Advisor is being recruited by our client based in Wellingborough. You will need to have "gold level customer service" and exemplary sales support experience to support the sales team and have the ability to up-sell and cross sell their products. This is a busy environment where attention to detail and correct stock availability is key.

  • Input and process Client accounts orders received via the Sales Team
  • Liaise with the relevant Account Managers and Sales Team to ensure the process runs smoothly and any queries and concerns are raised in good time.
  • Liaise with appropriate departments to ensure all of the correct information is being input for the customer order and to ensure that you are aware of product arrival dates where necessary.
  • Providing the warehouse with all the correct information to complete the order as expected by the Sales Managers and the customer
  • Take customer orders over the phone and via email
  • Provide customers with a good foundation of product knowledge, and where products are unavailable to seek other alternatives/outline any relevant offers
  • Proactively track orders to ensure the order process is complete.
  • Be flexible and use discretion, when the fairness of the company and the future of the customer relationship is at stake.
  • Proactively speak to major account customers daily so they are aware of items which can be ordered, stock availability and dates at all times seeking to enhance and build close working relationships.
  • Follow up customer deliveries and liaise with the warehouse to solve any order/delays issues and to ensure that you have an audit trail of interventions you have undertaken on behalf of the customer in your pursuance of excellent customer care.
  • To show consistency across the board for the purpose of returns, deliveries and ordering process

  • Support colleagues where necessary in balancing the workload during peak times.
  • Be enthusiastic within the team and add to the departments progression
  • Provide good time management and organisation skills.
  • Be reliable at all times and in the absence of other team members, showing flexibility where required.
  • Show empathy and understanding towards customer dissatisfaction and deal with their concerns appropriately.
  • Undertake other duties as may be requested of the post holder that are commensurate with their level of responsibilities and skills and pertinent to the role.


Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in providing high level customer service in a sales environment
  • Fast and accurate data input skills
  • Experience in working with web-based sales systems- ideal??
  • Experience of working with a CRM Database
  • Ideally experience working for a Manufacturing company
  • Experience within Supply Chain and or high volume Order Processing
